São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, with a city population of about 11 million and almost 20 million in its metropolitan region. It is the capital of the Southeastern state of São Paulo, and also a beehive of activity that offers a jovial nightlife and an intense cultural experience. São Paulo is one of the richest cities in the southern hemisphere. Historically attractive to immigrants as well as (somewhat later) Brazilians from other states, it’s one of the most diverse cities in the world.

We are going to a city tour around this great metropolis on Saturday afternoon! We should leave Campinas by 1:30pm. Our return is scheduled to 7:00pm. Please, inform of your interest in participating on this trip in your registration form.

Visit to the Hippie Fair of Campinas

The Hippie Fair of Campinas is a traditional crafts fair in the city. It takes its name from its origins, as it emerged with people who identified with the hippie movement in early 1970’s. Today the fair is composed by a great variety of artisans selling all sorts of products. There you will find great handmade products, such as clothes, shoes, trinkets, and more. Also, it is a great place to have lunch, with a great variety of menus.

We will visit this fair on Sunday morning, leaving from UNICAMP at 8:30am, returning to the University at 12:00pm. Please, inform of your interest in participating in this visit in your registration form.
